Job Description
The Product Control team is a valued stakeholder with trading and involved in the development of new initiatives and business growth. This role will have direct interaction with trading desks, business management, new business teams and a range of Operation functions, such as Middle Office, Settlements and Corporate Actions.

This role will be instrumental in building the team infrastructure of a joint venture company.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily PL Production responsibilities, including, commissions / day 1 Review, Flash v Actual Analysis, P&L Commentaries, FOBO review, Inventory Reporting, Clean P&L, process improvement.
  • Weekly Commentary analysis for Financial Reporting and delivery to management

  • Month End work including:

  • Balance Sheet substantiation and review.

  • Reconciliation of reported P&L to ledger
  • Review / assistance in IPV process.
  • Management Packs and associated P&L review
  • Review of team tasks / act as independent checker

  • P&L and inventory movement commentaries

  • Active involvement in enhancements and development of process/system flows to ease automation of P&L production. Adjustment review and remediation

  • Ad hoc management reporting
  • Assist in building out processes for new products sets or system implementation that may arise

Requirements:

  • Prior Experience in Product Control, preferably Equities.
  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Analytical / natural attention to detail.
  • Conscientious, willing to delve into topics to understand how things work.
  • Advanced excel knowledge.
  • Able to prioritise workload to achieve daily targets.
  • Able to multitask to answer desk and management requests on a timely basis.
  • Ability to automate and rationalise processes, as necessary.
  • Strong communication in English & Japanese.
