Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Aviation Seating Engineer to join our team in Toyota City, Japan. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on the design, development, and integration of innovative aircraft seating solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and development of advanced aircraft seating systems.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, FAA certification, and Type Certification requirements.
- Perform technical analysis and optimize designs for safety, comfort, weight reduction, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
- Support and improve manufacturing processes for aviation seating products.
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in aircraft seating systems and certification.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance and experience working with aircraft interiors.
- Understanding of Type Certification and related regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, global team environment.
- Experience with aerospace or aviation seating suppliers is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent English required; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
