Job Summary

As a Supervisory Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company to both associates and customers. You will highlight our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. The role involves assisting customers in recognizing the need for our products and services. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates, ensuring a positive and productive work environment through continuous learning and staying up-to-date on products. Key qualifications include a moderate level of product knowledge, strong interpersonal and communication skills, basic math functions, and ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide premier customer service by engaging with customers, asking questions, listening to their needs, and directing them to merchandise.
  • Maintain store appearance, including sales floor and inventory areas.
  • Cross-sell products, suggest latest trends, and upsell based on customer individual needs.
  • Use Point-of-Sales systems, process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and handle cash accurately.
  • Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
  • Be responsible for security of cash, fixed assets, and merchandise inventory.
  • Provide direction on assignments, prioritize projects, manage merchandise, and inventory.
  • Achieve dependability through adherence to assigned work schedule and accurate follow-through on work assignments.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Provides effective leadership, demonstrates ability to direct, train, and motivate associates.
  • Set a positive example, provide coaching and feedback timely and professionally, and provide direction, work assignments, training to sales associates.
  • May open or close locations.

Qualifications:

  • Product Knowledge: Moderate level of knowledge of products, merchandise.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of Retail or relevant work experience required; 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers, remaining flexible to the needs of the business, working as part of a team, and taking initiative independent of direct supervision.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per year.
