Job Description

  • Administering Merit Increases & Performance Bonuses: Implement fair and accurate calculations for merit increases and performance bonuses in alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Enhancing Employee Lifecycle: Continuously improve the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for all employees.
  • Optimizing Benefits Programs: Enhance employee benefit programs and streamline internal communication channels to effectively communicate updates and changes.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll administration and social insurance for the company through collaboration with outsourcing vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Managing Defined Contribution Plans: Administer defined contribution plans and provide comprehensive training to new employees to facilitate understanding and enrollment.
  • Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for supervisors, managers, and employees on the correct usage of time and attendance systems, fostering efficiency and compliance.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit reports on monthly overtime status and paid holiday status to ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Employee Relations: Facilitate employee relations meetings and ensure the safety and well-being of employees, including managing sick leave, maternity leave, and work-related incidents in collaboration with vendors.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews, providing feedback to candidates, and managing vendor/agency relationships.
  • Corporate Website Management: Update the corporate recruitment website and spearhead direct sourcing initiatives to attract top talent.
  • Ad Hoc HRGA Functions: Perform additional HRGA functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team.

    The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on payroll management and vendor relations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday).
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • SHRM certification is a plus.
