President for Overseas Subsidiaries (Thailand/Indonesia)

This role is open to candidates who can either assume the President position upon hiring or transition into the role within 1–2 years after joining our client's company.

Our client is a well-established and stable company in the steel industry, headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, with branches across Japan as well as in Thailand and Indonesia.

Their custom-made steel and metal plates are widely used in automotive, industrial machinery, construction equipment, and electronics.

To streamline operations and expand overseas business, they are seeking a leader to take charge of their overseas subsidiaries in Thailand or Indonesia.

As President of the overseas subsidiaries, you will be responsible for overall management and business expansion.

Leveraging your international management experience, you will lead local operations, drive profitability, and develop new business opportunities in close coordination with HQ in Japan.

Responsibilities
Overall management of the overseas subsidiaries (Thailand or Indonesia) (CEO-level duties)
Oversee factory operations and collaborate with the local Vice President
Manage and develop local staff (approximately 50–100 people)
Implement and execute business plans, profitability management, and cost control
Coordinate, report, and communicate with the Japan HQ
Plan and launch new businesses (including areas outside of manufacturing)
Build and maintain relationships with local clients and business partners
Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Required Skills/Experience
5+ years of overseas management experience (experience in a different industry is also welcome)
Management and operational leadership of overseas offices

Other Information

Contract Type:
Full-time permanent (正社員)

Probation Period: 6 months

Annual salary up to approx. JPY 6–10 million (depending on skill and experience)
