Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic
team.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall Responsibility     
Support Local Financial Manager and Regional Financial Controller. Responsible for all aspects of the finance function within Watson-Marlow Japan including support reporting, general financial control issues and for continuous improvement in the effectiveness of the finance function.  

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Main duties for daily, monthly and annual responsibilities: 
-Prepare journal entries and maintain documentation and filings in AX ERP.  
-Manage AP/AR and other BS accounts. 
-Handle the staff expenses & cash disbursement (SAP Concur). 
-Prepare for cash flow forecast (cash balance). 
-Day-to-day management of the accounts function including overall responsibility for the operation of the ledgers, fixed asset register, bank accounts. 
-Ensure timely bank payments to suppliers, vendors and intercompany. 
-Manage P-note and Electric P-note. 
-Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations. 
-Manage Lease assets & Fixed assets and depreciation. 
-Perform and reconcile intercompany transactions. 
-Monthly intercompany invoice issuance and reconciliation process. 
-Support for monthly, quarterly, and annual Local and Group closings.  
-Support to comply with financial policies and regulations. 
-Obtain monthly invoices from various vendors.  
-Support to prepare budget forecasts. 
-Support internal & external Audit preparation & tax filing. 

Additional Responsibilities:
-Full sets of accounts in AX ERP. 
-Manage Credit limits for customers. 
-Support year-end adjustments and medical checkups. 
-Enrollment and disenrollment services for employee benefit companies. 
-General administration tasks. 

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-have
-5 years or more of similar experience. 
-Native level Japanese language communication skills. 
-Basic ~ Intermediate level communication skills in written and oral English. 
-Japanese Commercial Bookkeeping 2nd grade level or above. 
-Intermediate to advanced applications software expertise (Excel and accounting software). 
-Proactive, attention to detail and accuracy with ability to adhere to deadlines.   

Desired Skills
-Experience working for multinational companies.    
-Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  
-Corporate accounting experience to support finance manager including overheads, forecasting and budgeting.  
-Work collaboratively across the organization to establish and continuously improve internal  
control and financial processes.  
-Ability to understand the company cost strategy. 
-Basic level Korean communication skills.
