From developing state-of-the-art theme park locations in Orlando, Hollywood, Beijing and Japan, to new destinations, like our Halloween Horror nights themed destination in Vegas and a kids park in Frisco… our teams are at the heart of the new and innovative digital technologies that power our guest and team member experiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with our business partners and product teams to understand the requirements that drive the technology solutions we will deploy and analyze key requirements needed. You will engage in the testing cycles of those solutions to align and drive that the design meets the original set of expectations. You are part of a global team that is consistently looking at ways to enhance the experience for guests, from planning their trip to their in park visit, to their post return while driving the best experience all around.

As part of the Digital and Technology team, you will work in a global and multinational team atmosphere, with team members that come to work with us, from various countries. You will engage with not only team members but with multinational vendors that support our destinations and experiences across the globe. So be prepared, as our primary language to operate in is English, daily; however, having other languages, like Japanese is a plus, for local communications.

After joining the company, you will gain a basic understanding of the latest technology for our theme parks and overall in park ride solutions. Not to worry, we will work with you to refine your business system analysis skills. Your role will be responsible for reporting to management both in Japan and within the US. Regardless of your length of service, you will be involved in operations with other parks around the world and will be able to grow significantly.

【JOB SUMMARY】

The Senior Software Engineer will have a unique opportunity to utilize Flutter as a cross-platform language to build large mobile applications and experiences in support of our theme parks. This role will work with our mobile team to design and build the next generation of our web and mobile applications that will be leveraged across our parks and venues around the world. The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with other app development and technical teams. eThe role will provide highly specialized skills and knowledge that will enable the successful design, code, and delivery of complex solutions for Digital Technology in support of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, analyzing, and supporting complex codebases along with configuration management of new Flutter applications.

RESPONSIBILITES

● Design & Development

Design, develop, and implement exceptional mobile solutions. Be a web, mobile domain expert for development teams as part of implementation. Collaborate towards strategic direction and delivering the 'art of the possible' for improvements and/or alternatives. Interface and coordinate tasks with technical resources. Collaborate with Project Managers, and vendors to assist in providing estimates and develop applications that drive the installation, customization, and integration efforts of various experiences.

● Strategy & Planning

Take action in executing strategies determined by technical leadership with the web and mobile organization. Provide mobile insight to non-technical partners, and DevOps engineers. Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility. Build and maintain repository for deliverables.

● Technical Collaboration

Confer with delivery teams, product team, or management to refine business requirements and collaborate on technical designs and resolve technical issues. Participate and actively engage with other developers, architects, and domain experts.

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience and extensive knowledge, or a combination of the below.

System design and development, strong understanding of information processing principles, software evaluations, applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Mobile languages and design patterns including but not limited to Flutter, Dart, MVC, and MVVM. Flutter's plugin ecosystem, BLoC,CMS Driven Widget Design, Atomic Design, Widget Trees, localization and other Flutter UI concepts.

Strong experience with reverse proxies, web servers, API gateways, service-oriented architectures, web services (REST), microservice patterns, service buses and integration patterns, security practices, database technologies.

RESTful APIs using JSON, Git, Git flow and other branching strategies.

Familiarity with pull requests and CI tools, performing code reviews.

Working on a development team that practices Agile/scrum methodologies and having solid architecture, analytic, design, problem-solving skills and creating frameworks and integrating external SDK's.

Excellence in communication with the ability to communicate complicated technical design ideas to a range of people from developers to executives.

Ability to understand and maintain existing complex codebases. Passionate about mobile technologies, building great guest experiences and having the aptitude to work as a change agent that believes in a continuous improvement approach.

Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration, agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.

Language:

Ability to communicate in Japanese and English to complete daily tasks
