General Job Description and Experience Needed:
Legal Compliance Product Manager/ Local Product Manager
The Legal Compliance Product Manager is a Key Role. The Legal Compliance Product Management team will be accountable for the localized product portfolio for all SAP localized countries.
Responsibilities
Below are some of the key responsibilities of Legal Compliance Product Manager.
- Collect legal changes for the countries localized for SAP Business ByDesign, ensure that product is legally compliant for SAP customers.
- Identify and address the legal changes from a business point of view that require an adaptation from development or content regarding country specific legislations.
- Responsible for understanding and getting clarifications from legal authorities for the legal changes, when needed.
- Prioritise and the share legal changes from country/region with the respective CPO/APO.
- Responsible for classification of legal backlogs into appropriate categories like legal change or maintenance or other relevant.
- Accountable for creation of LPM JIRA with clear legal specifications in the Market Requirements Document(MRD) and its review/clarification with development and content teams.
- Responsible for verification of the legal change in the respective verification tenant(UAT Testing) once the development has been completed, and notify bugs, if found.
- Responsible for notification of legal changes, keeping its status up-to-date to the customers through the Regulatory Change Manager.
- Help documentation validation for the legal change.
- Responsible for clarifying the appropriate language term for the UI elements related to legal changes during Language Acceptance Test.
- Responsible for validation of customer concerns raised through customer tickets and suggesting appropriate next steps to development team to solve the concern in a timely manner.
- Keep content on SAP Business ByDesign Localization Community up-to-date
Qualifications
- Product management experience is mandatory
- Deep knowledge of localization business processes and taxation
- Experience with managing regulatory requirements in a software environment
- Experience with SAP ERP solutions, preferably SAP Business ByDesign
- Ability to capture and productize customer and partner requirements
- Ability to build and maintain a strong professional network with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is necessary
Work Experience
Minimum 12+years of overall professional experience related to the above skills, preferably with SAP financial accounting and logistics software as an implementation consultant, tax consultant/advisor, or product manager
In-depth knowledge of customer implementation of Finance modules of any SAP system. Thorough in Statutory reporting, IFRS reporting and other tax topics in Finance. A person who has implemented financials of SAP ERP/S4Hana/R3/ByDesign at a customer location is desirable.
Strong team player in a multi-cultural environment
Ability to build and maintain a strong network across various groups, such as development, field teams, and customers
Proven track record in defining, driving, and executing a successful product strategy.
Experience in handling customer issues, coordination of teams, and stakeholder management.
