The Tax Analyst prepares and files tax returns, ensuring that they are in compliance with local regulations. This role collects and prepares tax data, reviewing returns, performing tax research, and maintaining records.

General Responsibilities

Prepare and file tax returns and review the documents for accuracy
Maintain and reconcile all tax general ledger accounts and evaluate all account balances and prepare all tax returns and schedule for same and perform regular audits on all tax returns
Prepare required paperwork and ensure accuracy
Analyze all accounting and tax information and ensure compliance with all regulations
Recommend improvements and prepare financial statements for all income tax details
Administer and ensure compliance to all monthly activities
Stay up to date on all tax laws and changes
Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations as needed
Follow the company's chart of accounts user guidelines
Develop an income tax and cash tax forecast

Experience / Qualifications

A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
