Position Title:
Site Safety & Health Officer, Level 1 (L1 SSHO)

Area of Requirement:
Primary MTF site with oversight for safety at all supported MTF locations.


Scope:
Leads the safety and occupational health program across all Okinawa MTF sites.

Duties

Maintains and enforces Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
Conducts daily inspections at primary MTF and coordinates coverage across dispersed sites.
Provides stop-work authority and ensures safety controls are implemented.
Conducts training, JHAs, and AHAs in compliance with EM
Investigates and reports all safety incidents and provides corrective recommendations.


Mandatory Experience & Certifications:
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training.
24 hours of SOH training within past five years, plus ongoing every three years.
Five years cumulative safety experience in past 10 years managing SOH programs.


Preferred / Desirable Certifications:
CSP (Certified Safety Professional).
CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician).

Language Proficiency

English - Level III proficiency
Japanese - Level III proficiency Speak, Write and Understand Japanese


Special Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
