Art Director
This is a FTC (Full Time Contract) position at Amazon. We are seeking an experienced Art Director to join our fast-paced imaging studio, primarily focusing on video production.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and high creativity. They will be responsible for producing various categories of e-commerce, video, and 3D capture content while driving process improvements and efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal creative teams and business teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand video imaging solutions that enhance the customer experience.
- Deliver results quickly in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Enhance team knowledge of best practices and trends in Amazon Visual Innovation Services.
- Plan, conceptualize, and execute elevated e-commerce video content, directing post-production to achieve desired results.
- Communicate effectively, including verbal and written skills, and influence across levels.
- Assist on set as needed, prep, prioritize imaging orders, and style products.
- Troubleshoot and prioritize direction for creatives on set.
- Mentor stylists & assistant stylists in the studio.
- Organize and maintain the workspace, styling props inventory, and request supplies.
- Support safety initiatives regarding studio workflow and processes.
About the Team
Visual Innovation Services builds the world's best online shopping experience through video, photography, graphic design, and usability design. We are a network of studio teams located worldwide, focusing on fashion and product videography, photography, retouching, graphic design, and CGI production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience.
- An available online portfolio.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS.
- Demonstrable experience as a director in a production environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating the ability to turn raw ideas into beautiful and compelling video content.
- Extensive experience in a deadline-driven video production environment, preferably in a creative agency or production company.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to lead, supervise, and execute video projects from concept through delivery.
- Understanding of the video production process, equipment, technology, and roles.
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with team members including producers, videographers, stylists, editors, and DOPs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns.
Estimated Salary
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
