Job Title: Compliance Director

Reporting to: Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President

How will you make an impact in this role?

We're looking for a Director to join our Japan Market Compliance team, acting as the Deputy to the Vice President Chief Compliance Officer. This role involves supporting VP in managing compliance team operations, strategies, and high-impact projects. You'll provide expertise to business partners and collaborate on regulatory risks in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Change

  • Monitor and assess regulatory changes impacting Japan business
  • Prepare presentations for senior management on regulatory developments
  • Contribute to industry discussions on regulatory policy

Governance & Reporting

  • Provide Compliance expertise on Japan regulatory requirements
  • Identify and mitigate emerging risks
  • Prepare reports and assist in compliance program development

Desired skills and experience

  • Masters degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of people management experience
  • Hands-on experience in compliance programs
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements
  • Strong knowledge of payments and consumer credit regulations
  • Strong analytical and relationship building skills
