Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

MMC Controllership is a shared service department responsible for financial accounting, taxation, and treasury management (excluding FP&A) for Marsh McLennan Group Japan companies. In this position, you will be a member of MMC Controllership and be responsible for primarily insurance premium accounting, insurance-related deposits, fund management, and remittance support management.

Insurance premium accounting is a unique position for insurance agents, requiring frequent communication with the sales team and involving aspects of sales work and business management. Although accounting experience is limited, this role is suitable for those who have experience in sales work or business management and want to take the next step.

• Insurance premium accounting
• Insurance-related deposits
• Fund management
• Remittance support management

What you need to have:

• Business experience in accounting, finance, or taxation (over 1 year)
• Banking experience, including payment, receipt, and notification procedures (over 1 year)
• PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Business experience in English, including basic business communication via email
• College graduate or higher

What makes you stand out?

• Basic accounting knowledge (e.g.,簿記3級)
• Ability to communicate and negotiate with others without difficulty
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is a plus
