Business Development Manager Position

We are seeking a passionate and strategic thinker to join our team as a Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in an innovative environment and drive our mission forward.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for retention and expansion within a key customer located in Osaka, Japan.
  • The BDM will serve as the primary representative of the company after a sale has been completed and the account has been onboarded.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular updates to the General Manager of the Business Unit.
  • Maintain and advance key relationships to become a trusted advisor.
  • Orchestrate efforts with internal teams to remove barriers for renewal and unlock additional revenue.
  • Educate customers on the value of ORBCOMM's products and solutions.
  • Mobilize and orchestrate internal resources to assist in trouble shooting and resolution of complex customer problems.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customer needs and operational rhythm.
  • Identify, monitor, and provide timely forecasts for future sales and revenue levels.
  • Provide monthly sales reports.

About You:

  • You have experience in all areas detailed above, gained from several years' professional experience consulting with customers.
  • You possess a technical background with data communications and concepts.
  • You are enthusiastic about success and recognized by your drive and ambitious nature.
  • You have superior organizational skills and outstanding communication skills.
  • English language is required; ability to communicate in other languages is beneficial.

Requirements:

  • Requirement to be on customer site 2-3 days a week.
  • If not located in Osaka, travel requirement will be 30%.
