Department Overview

This is a company-wide project to plan, develop, and improve the "Rakuten Link" application, which unifies the services of the entire group. 

The app will provide access to "all of Rakuten's economic sphere," including special promotions across services and various payment methods and will be deployed as a platform for an ecosystem unparalleled anywhere in the world, including not only Rakuten but also its partners.

Why We Hire

This is a new business to make an application integrating more than 70 services that Rakuten develops.
Currently, we are extending the implementation of Rakuten Mobile's "Rakuten Link" application with this concept.

By making a variety of services available through one app, we will not only improve the user experience and strengthen and expand Rakuten's ecosystem, but also expand globally as a platform for collaboration with external partners companies in the future.

By connecting the entire group and the external partner's services, we will be working to enhance the user experience and grow the ecosystem of the entire group.

This role is required to focus on business planning through budget planning and KPI design, execution support through PL and KPI monitoring, and management reports.
In addition, you will lead the growth of new business through cooperation with a wide range of stakeholders involved in accounting, legal affairs and human resources.

Position Details

Depending on your experience, we will entrust the following tasks.

- Annual budget planning and performance management
- Business KPI monitoring, forecasting, issue handling and executing support with planning team
- Design and operation of various meetings related to monitoring and PDCA
- Creation of management reports (company-wide important meetings, weekly reports, etc.)
- Various operations such as transactions between group companies and accounting processing
- Leading projects according to business conditions such as accounting, legal affairs, and human resources

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in business planning at industrial company

- Managerial accounting knowledge/skills required for management analysis

- Logical thinking, analytical ability, and insight

- TOEIC 800 or higher or equivalent level of English

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in business strategy planning for IT-related services

- Basic project management skills

- Attitude and ability to set and solve issues even in inexperienced work
