About the Role:
This position is responsible for creation of "tops down" sales, gross margin and inventory forecasts for Gap Brand. As a member of the Company Planning team, this position will quantify and articulate opportunity to achieve forecasts, as well as recommend actions to help mitigate sales and inventory risks.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with cross function teams (Inventory Management, Field, Online team, etc.) to understand drivers of businessand to ensure business actions maximize sales and profitability for the Company.
- Present Sales & Gross Margin forecasts, risks and opportunities in monthly forecast meetings with Leadership team.
- Conduct daily tracking on sales performance to identify risks and recommend actions to mitigate the sales andmargin risks.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis that provides business insight and builds consensus for action to influence inventoryprofitability.
- Serve as a liaison between Inventory Management and brand Finance.
- Develop detailed annual budgets and quarterly plan targets (monthly sales, gross margin and inventory plans) thatsupport the strategic direction of the company.
- Ensure Inventory Management teams build inventory plans that support the budget through clear communication anddetailed reviews of plans.
- Provide hindsight recaps (season, quarter, events, etc) that clearly articulate highlights and learning to influencefuture business strategies.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree required;
- 5+ years of financial planning experience in Retail/ FMCG industries (business analysis is plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to build strong partnerships and influence others.
- Excellent analytical application skills (Excel, etc.) and desire to master new systems;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to drive results and formulate business strategy.
- Open to new approaches to business, supporting out of the box thinking.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Business fluent in English, proficiency in Mandarin, and Japanese.
