Key tasks:
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Maintain fixed asset ledger
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Prepare financial analyses and reports
- Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements
- Contribute to the enhancement of our accounting system, programs, and procedures
- Support the preparation of national, local, and other tax returns
- Drive process improvements
- Perform other accounting duties and assist team members as needed
Key relationships:
- Internal: Other business units, Finance Accounting & Group Accounting departments, Group Tax
- External: Vendors, Tax consultant, Auditors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Skills/knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of accounting standard (IFRS)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in word and spreadsheet software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of national and local tax regulations
- Knowledge of SAP (S4/HANA) and HFM a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Team player
Experience:
- 6+ years of accounting experience
- Year-end closing experience
- Experience with financial reporting
- Intercompany accounting experience
- Operational accounting/tax experience with international companies
