Q1: What kind of work have you been involved in up to now?
I have been involved in procurement for over 10 years since my previous job.
Before joining Renova, my responsibilities included creating purchase orders, handling deliveries, managing inventory, and overseeing payment schedules.
Since joining RENOVA, I have been focusing on tasks such as strategic planning for main engine procurement, establishing vendor selection criteria, screening and evaluation processes, and sourcing activities for potential suppliers.
In addition to strategic procurement, I am also involved in the bidding process and RFQ (Request for Quotation) creation.
Q2: Why did you choose Renova?
I used to work in the procurement department of a manufacturing company.
After eight years of experience, I decided that I wanted to try building my career from a different perspective as a service provider in hopes of broadening my horizons and gain more knowledge and experience.
In the meantime, I had the opportunity to meet my prior manager (my boss at my previous job), who had joined Renova before me, and he introduced me to the appealing environment.
At the time, the procurement team was in the process of being established, but I felt that if I could participate at this point, I would be able to be deeply involved in the development of the organization.
Another attraction of Renova is that there are no language barriers, and you can work in English, Japanese or my native language, Mandarin. For these reasons, I decided to join Renova.
Q3: What are the characteristics of RENOVA? (Good points, things you are proud of, things you are satisfied with, etc.)
The most attractive thing about Renova is that it gives its employees flexibility and respects them to the greatest extent possible. I am always grateful to Renova for providing a working environment that is easy for foreign employees to work in, such as a flexible working style that allows me to work from home in my hometown in Taiwan as well as from my home in Japan.
There are also no restrictions on ideas or solutions when it comes to carrying out projects. All members work as one team, drawing on their knowledge and experience to overcome any difficulties that arise.
