The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Chief of Staff to serve as the primary strategic partner and "right hand" to our CEO. This isn't a traditional 9-to-5 administrative role; it is a mission-critical position that blends high-level business operations with comprehensive personal support.

You will be the force multiplier for the CEO, ensuring that their time is optimized, their strategic vision is executed, and both professional and personal logistics are handled with flawless precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Synergy: Manage a complex, ever-changing calendar, coordinate global travel, and act as the gatekeeper for correspondence.
  • Strategic Oversight: Track project progress across the company, ensuring internal teams are aligned with the CEO's priorities and deadlines.
  • 360° Support: Handle a mix of professional and personal tasks, ensuring the CEO's day-to-day life runs seamlessly to maximize their focus.
  • Communication Bridge: Liaise between internal departments and external stakeholders with a high degree of diplomacy and clarity.
  • Confidentiality: Navigate sensitive information and high-stakes decision-making with absolute discretion.

Qualifications

  • Location: Currently based in Japan (mandatory).
  • Experience: Proven track record in a similar role (Chief of Staff, EA to C-Suite, or Operations Manager)
  • Linguistic Mastery: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in Japanese is strongly preferred to navigate the local landscape.
  • Operational Excellence: Expert-level project management, document preparation, and office tech proficiency.
  • The "Whatever It Takes" Mindset: Flexibility to provide 24/7 support as necessary in a fast-paced, global business cycle.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field (Advanced degree is a plus).
