We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fullstack Lead Engineer with a strong emphasis on frontend technologies to join our dynamic team. You will be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications. This role requires a hands-on leader who can not only contribute technically but also mentor and guide other engineers. You will be responsible for leading the frontend architecture and development, while also contributing to backend services as needed.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of frontend and fullstack engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices.
Frontend Architecture: Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend architectures using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Development: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Primarily focus on frontend development, but contribute to backend development when required.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our development processes and product quality.
Best Practices: Champion and enforce coding standards, testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
Agile Participation: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation.
Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in frontend and backend systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 5+ years of experience in fullstack web development.
Frontend Expertise:
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
Extensive experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, Context API, React Router).
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
Backend Skills:
Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
Experience with RESTful API design and development.
Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Version Control: Proficient with Git.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Japanese language (reading, writing, and speaking) – advantageous due to client interactions.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with serverless architectures.
