Description
CosmoBridge Co., Ltd. (incorporating CGK International School) has an opening for an MYP coordinator at our growing international school. We are located in central Yokohama and we are an IB Primary Years Program candidate school expanding through high school in coming years.
[MYP Coordinator]
We are looking for a bright, friendly, professionally minded educator with MYP experience who can successfully guide our school through the MYP candidacy and authorization process.
Applicants must be enthusiastic to create an effective learning environment from 6th-10th grade, lead the growing middle school teaching team, and be always open to new challenges. For this position, you will be responsible for teaching in our Elementary and Afterschool classes part time while preparing for MYP candidacy. The position would shift to full-time MYP Coordinator and middle school support duties part way through your first year.

Experience teaching in an MYP classroom is necessary. Appropriate teaching qualifications are also required.
[Job Description]
-Work with the Principal to ensure quality instruction
-Develop the MYP curriculum with subject teachers
-Coordinate interdisciplinary learning
-Ensure planners are filled out
-Develop grade aligned standards to ensure vertical alignment
-Work with the PYP coordinator to ensure a smooth transition to MYP
-Work with the DP coordinator to ensure a smooth transition to DP
-Track and manage PD for MYP teachers in accordance with IB and school policies
-Communicate with the IB in matters regarding the MYP
-Help adapt current school policies to reflect the needs of the MYP
-Establish and maintain a collaborative environment in the MYP
-Work with all staff to maintain a positive working environment for all members of CGK staff

-Teaching and/or leadership qualifications
-Native English ability

-9 hours (including 1-hour break) between the hours of: 7:00-17:00
-Shift will be decided based on teacher request and the needs of CGK
