Description Of Work
TThe Administrative Officer has primary responsibility for formulation of policies and procedures for investigations in child care and enforcement of requirements; compiling statistics for the Compliance Branch; maintaining and tracking case staffing information; maintaining the Child Maltreatment Registry in child care; researching and recommending child care rules for the Section; collaborate with staff in intake, investigations and licensing enforcement units and other section staff by leading focus groups to determine the need for rules, policies, procedures, training, etc.; leading prevention of child maltreatment efforts; assisting with contracts within the Regulatory Services Section and assisting with Section training and projects and oversee the license fee process.

About The Division Child Development And Early Education (DCDEE)
The Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) implements quality standards for child care and increases access to families and their children across North Carolina.
NCGS requires that the State protect children in child care facilities by ensuring that these facilities provide a physically safe and healthy environment where the developmental needs of the children are met and where these children are cared for by qualified persons of good moral character.

Veterans' and National Guard Preference
