Risk Management Operational Risk Manager

Job/Group Overview:

Operational risk is a wide range of potential risks that all firms face, and due to the magnitude of its impact and changes in the business environment in recent years, its importance has increased from the risk management perspective, and its sophistication has been promoted.

The Risk Management Department plays a strategically important role in advising senior management from a risk perspective to maintain sufficient capital while improving shareholder returns and maximizing the return on capital.

Within the Risk Management Department, the Operational Risk Management team has developed a management framework to identify, assess, monitor, and report risks. We are required to contribute to risk reduction in accordance with the risk management framework.

Responsibilities:

• Manage operational risks within the firm's operations using a globally consistent framework, identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting risks with each department working together to understand, evaluate, monitor, and report risks (operational risk event analysis and causes, assessment of measures to prevent recurrence, risk assessment through self-assessment of risk and control (RCSA), proposal of remedial actions, etc.).
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant domestic departments, senior management, and regulators, as well as engage in discussions and information sharing with overseas members.

Registration Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements:

• Japanese (native or fluent level) and English (business communication level)
• Interest and experience in operational risk management and improvement of operations and issues
• Experience participating in cross-divisional business process improvement activities.
• Communication skills (including writing and presentation)
• Basic operations of MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)

PREFERRED SKILL / EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in risk management (including operational risk management), compliance, and/or finance departments at financial institutions.
• Experience in group company management, asset management, or trust/banking.
• Experience in project management/system development work.
• Experience in data governance work.

Estimated Salary: ¥8,000,000 - ¥12,000,000 per year
