Job Description
The Leidos Military & Veterans Health Solutions Group is seeking experienced counselors and clinical supervisors to support our PACAF Adolescent Support and Counseling Services (ASACS) program. This community-based initiative provides essential clinical services, including assessment, early intervention, and counseling for adolescents and their families dealing with substance abuse and behavioral health risk factors.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing prevention and treatment programs, interfacing with military branches and the community, offering individual, group, and family counseling, and managing case records. Successful candidates will possess a valid state clinical license or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of supervised post-graduate experience working with adolescents.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing adolescent substance abuse prevention and treatment programs
Networking with military branches and the community to identify adolescents in need of services
Providing individual, group, and family counseling to support quality of life
Managing intake, screening, assessment, and caseload
Delivering AOD training and specialized education on various topics
Planning treatment, discharge, and continuing care for caseload
Participating in quality assurance initiatives
Securing written referral agreements with community agencies
Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited university (CACREP accredited)
Valid State Clinical License – LCSW at the independent level OR Ph.D/Psy.D. Clinical Psychologist or equivalent independent state counseling license.
Two (2+) years of supervised post graduate counseling experience working with an adolescent population.
Possession of or eligibility for a state or national alcohol and drug counseling (AOD) certification
Candidates must be skilled in prevention education, community referral agreements, and program marketing
Intermediate competency with word processing, databases/email systems, and file management electronically
US driver's license and eligibility for a US military ID card, credentialling at military hospital and approval by client
Favorable results on Federal Background Investigation
Detailed Requirements:
This position requires relocation to Japan, Guam, or Osan, Korea as an expatriate, with relocation assistance provided. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
