Description

JME is looking for Teachers with a passion for teaching and the experience teaching various ages.

We believe learning should be fun as well as teaching. We strive to provide the environment to do so.

As a teacher here at JME you'll be part of a small team of professional educators looking to constantly raise the standards for English education in the region.

** Key Qualifications



- An openness to learn and try new things.

- A strong desire to live and work in Japan

- Interest in teaching toddlers to adults

- An education-focused career path

- License or Certification (preferably in Education or a linguistics-related field)

- Native-level English ability

-Leadership ability and managerial experience.

** Description



- We are looking for someone who can take a leadership role and help manage the running of the school and its staff.

- As a teacher, we want you to evaluate how each lesson went and then take the necessary actions to improve the lesson quality. Every class presents new challenges, and we are looking for teachers that can handle those challenges. We want teachers that would like to keep improving their skills.

- We love to receive feedback from each teacher and encourage open communication.

- We would expect everyone to strive to work hand in hand with each other and respect the thoughts and opinions of one another. A tight teamworking environment we would like to uphold.

- During the year there are also school events that teachers must attend, for example, holiday parties, examination day and Open School. Teachers participate by engaging in conversations with both parents and students, organizing games, schedule planning and emceeing.

For any teachers who are also creative, that is a plus because we are always making new materials for the school and classes as well as making content for social media for our students that are both fun and informative.

** Working hours



Tuesday --Saturday: 9:00 a.m.-- to 18.00 p.m. (1 hour lunch break included) (40 hrs. weekly, with paid over-time when needed.)

Events: Occasional Seasonal Events/ English Exams are on a Sunday
