Qualifications
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Some understanding of fixed income markets and/or credit knowledge is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluency in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and sense of priorities
Education
University degree (e.g. Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualifications) with one year of relevant work experience. Finance, economics, business, mathematics, actuarial studies, or statistics background is preferred. Recent graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management & Credit Quality: Perform day-to-day credit analysis, including reviewing financial data, and writing analytical commentary. Assist with proprietary models and develop a working knowledge of credit fundamentals and Moody's methodologies
- Research, Investor Outreach & Market Interaction: Contribute to core research drafts, attend investor briefings and issuer meetings, and build positive relationships with issuers by understanding their business and responding to inquiries
- Credit Administration: Operate ratings and research systems, apply Moody's processes and best practices, and ensure compliance with laws and policies
- Coaching & Guidance: Provide guidance to the data processing team, manage workload pipeline, and offer feedback to the manager on work quality and accuracy
- Risk Identification and Escalation: Ensure compliance with laws and policies, increase awareness of cyber risks, and maintain high-quality work standards
