A UK-based autonomous vehicle company is expanding its operations in Japan and is seeking a Fleet Technician to support its AV fleet in Shin-Yokohama.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a dedicated vehicle fleet equipped with ADAS and autonomous driving systems.

You will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of the AV fleet.

Key Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
Carry out planned servicing and maintenance activities
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues
Maintain accurate records of repairs and faults
Communicate with drivers regarding vehicle issues and concerns
Keep vehicle appearance in excellent condition for critical demonstrations
Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements
Requirements
Experience with diagnostics and OEM service procedures
Valid Japanese standard driving license with at least 2 years of driving experience in Japan
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends

This role is also open to candidates (JLPT N1 or N2) already residing in Japan and does not need Visa sponsorship.

Shift Times

06:30–15:30 / 14:30–23:30

(Shift schedules are shared 4 weeks in advance)
