The Head of Construction is responsible for the success of proposals and the proper execution of factory construction projects.

This role leads the development of a Safety and Quality culture, ensures adequate organization of human, material, and financial resources, and acts as the primary interface for construction supervisors.

Key duties include coordinating all construction sites, managing and training the team, developing business methods, and overseeing technical audits.

Safety & Site Coordination

Ensure identification of risks and compliance with safety rules (HSE Plan, training, PPE).

Manage safety training, site prerequisites, and exercise authority to stop activities in case of non-compliance.

Oversee workload management, assign competent staff (site managers/supervisors), and organize mobilization.

Monitor construction operations and ensure weekly progress updates.

Proposal & Execution Phase

Participate in budget development, estimation, and construction strategy formulation.

Act as the interface between the site and Engineering/Technology departments.

Manage construction scheduling, quality files, and proper capitalization of operations.

Team & Department Management

Define resource needs, validate hiring, and manage succession planning.

Monitor training, assess performance, and manage career development for the team.

Maintain business procedures, manage department KPIs, and process internal audit actions.

Ensure cohesion of the construction supervisor team and adequacy of business tools.

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Boilermaking, Mechanics, or Construction.


Language:
Fluent in English.

Experience


Technical Experience:
> 5 years.


Site Experience:
> 5 years.

Competencies & Skills

Strong knowledge of international building codes, civil engineering, structure, pressure vessels, piping, E&I, machinery, and P&ID reading.

Proven leadership in managing multicultural and remote teams.

Mastery of safety rules, quality management in construction, and project execution processes (EP & EPC).

Certifications (Valid for 3 years)

Safety at Construction Sites, Working at Height, Construction Safety Management, SafeWork Permit issuance, Confined Space intervention, Electrical Authorization.
