One of the largest Japanese securities groups is seeking a
Bilingual Linux & Platform Engineer.

Join the Tokyo-based Platform & Cloud Services team—a flexible, diverse, and international group supporting public/private cloud, Linux/Windows compute, and core infrastructure. This is an opportunity to contribute to both BAU operations and large-scale, multi-year enterprise projects

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for RHEL, clustering, and related services (Satellite, Ansible).
• Design, build, test, and deliver new services and enhancements across platform and cloud environments.
• Provide L2/L3 onsite and on-call support under a Follow-the-Sun model.
• Partner with application teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform/cloud solutions.
• Identify automation opportunities, mitigate risks, and contribute code for platform management.
• Collaborate with Engineering and IT teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
• Create and maintain runbooks; mentor and guide team members.

Required Skills

• Expertise in
  RHEL 7.x/8.x
  and
  Red Hat High Availability (Pacemaker)
  .
• Hands-on with
  Red Hat Satellite
  and
  Ansible Automation
  .
• Experienced in
  HP & Cisco hardware
  setup, troubleshooting, and firmware upgrades.
• Skilled in
  VMware/ESX
  virtualized environments.
• Strong
  troubleshooting
  and service restoration skills.
• Japanese: Business level (JLPT N2 or above) / English: Business level

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of NTP/PTP time servers (e.g., Meinberg) in sub-microsecond precision environments.
• Hands-on experience with BlueCat DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
• Understanding of GitOps and SRE principles.
• Scripting & source control skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Git.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
