Monks is seeking a world-class Digital Project Manager. This opportunity is for a communicator and problem solver who wants to have their hands in several things at once; who can deliver end-to-end design across media types and work-streams, build and expand existing design workflows; and who can collaborate well with others.

This individual should have extensive experience as a Digital Producer and/or Digital Project Manager leading content design projects in cross-functional teams, including a proven ability to define and roll-out design workflows at scale - particularly for high volume asset Production. The skills to lead multiple projects simultaneously, deliver on time, communicate clearly, partner closely with design teams and relentlessly uphold our creative vision will come naturally to you.

You are highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable. You can 'see around the corner' and identify communication, logistical, design tooling and scheduling challenges. Prior experience in international organisations, managing geographically distributed teams and communications with cross-functional partners and external vendors is a plus.

This is a 1 year fixed term contract with a possibility of extension

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the design team in creating and managing design systems at scale.
• Run and communicate overall production timelines, project deliverables, and resourcing needs.
• Establish and manage cross-functional communications and workflows, ensuring effective exchange of information and deliverables, across multiple global timezones.
• Ability to proactively identify and solve potential challenges throughout the creative and production processes.
• Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations, when necessary.
• Deep project oversight to ensure that time-sensitive bottlenecks are eliminated and high quality creative is produced on time.
• Partner closely with internal and external teams to ensure all deliverables are implemented accurately, deadlines are met and executions are flawless.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts and spend tracking.
• Coordinate business affairs and legal approvals where required

Requirements

• Extensive creative production experience specifically with design, illustration and motion projects at a design agency or in-house design department.
• Demonstrated experience working with world-class creative teams, managing design processes and systems at scale.
• Proven ability to grasp technical complexity and distill and convey pertinent information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with international brands or agencies, with multi-language and culturally relevant content.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem solver.
• Solid technical understanding of static and motion specifications and of design tools and workflows.
• Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive attitude are a must.
• Experience working with project budgets, evaluating external partner proposals and negotiating agency fees.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal Japanese communication skills.
