About the Role
We are seeking a UniFi Pre-Sales Solution Engineer based in Japan to engage with enterprise customers, system integrators, MSPs, and channel partners. You will help architect scalable network, ProAV, VoIP, NAS, and Physical Security deployments across verticals such as education, hospitality, retail, and corporate IT.
As the pioneering pre-sales engineer for Ubiquiti products in Japan, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market penetration. Collaborating closely with the sales team, you will act as the head of the engineering function for Ubiquiti Japan — from technical pre-sales to strategic business development. You'll participate in customer visits, partner meetings, and webinars, tailoring UniFi's full ecosystem to regional needs and elevating customer experience through optimal solutions.
This role combines technical consulting, partner enablement, and brand development to strengthen UniFi's visibility across Japan, including ensuring strategic product availability and placement in major retail and e-commerce channels beyond the official Ubiquiti store.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultation and solution design for UniFi Enterprise, Protect, Talk, and Drive.
- Create system topologies, BoMs, and configuration templates.
- Conduct webinars, product presentations, and technical workshops.
- Support partner enablement and distributor training.
- Drive brand awareness to ensure retail and online visibility.
- Relay market insights to global product teams.
Desired Skills & Experience
Enterprise Networking
- Deep understanding of MC-LAG, Stacking, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, and SD-WAN.
ProAV Networking
- Experience with AV-over-IP, PTP, IGMP/multicast, and synchronization technologies.
VoIP
- Familiar with SIP, PBX, and UniFi Talk or similar enterprise systems.
NAS / Storage
- Knowledge of RAID, SMB/NFS, and UniFi Drive or equivalent NAS platforms.
Physical Security
- Understanding of camera surveillance (CCTV/IP), UniFi Protect, and Access Control Systems (RFID, keycard, and door management solutions).
General
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong bilingual communication skills (native-level Japanese, business English).
- Pre-sales or solution design experience in enterprise IT.
- Certifications (CCNP, CWNP, Ubiquiti UEWA/UBWA) preferred.
- Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., GPT) for documentation and automation.
