We are seeking an intern in our Human Resources Group at Itami Works in Itami, Japan (near Osaka). This internship will start from May 25, 2026, to July 31, weeks). The intern will be creating orientation content in various formats for non-Japanese visitors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- To identify and understand challenges for non-Japanese visiting and working at Itami Works. This may include interviewing non-Japanese visitors and Japanese employees to understand the gaps.
- To create orientation content in various formats, including pamphlets, short videos, presentations, etc. The content will be available to non-Japanese visitors visiting the facility. The content may include "how to," "cultural differences," and "tips for those visiting Japan for the first time."
- This may include reviewing and revising an existing storyline for the video.
- May be asked to revise contents and manuals based on feedback received.
- May be asked to research IT tools for video creation.
- May be asked to support any other project as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university seeking a BS/BA degree in related fields.
- Ability to edit videos using PowerDirector 2024.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including cross-cultural communication.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking) at an intermediate level is required.
- Ability to be creative and utilize critical thinking.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic knowledge of human resources, human resources development, and public relations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
About Sumitomo Electric Global Internship 2026
