DevOps Engineer for Symworld Migration

Description:

The Edge and Core Innovation Department under the Core Network Division aims to plan, engineer, design, develop, and deliver Core and Edge Based Solutions and Products to enhance services, secure revenue growth, and subscriber expansion in Rakuten Mobile.

We drive DevOps for all Core CNF and implement automation best practices to improve efficiency. Our team leads with a mindset focused on highly technical and optimized output.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage DevOps activities for the Symworld Migration of Core Network functions, creating CI/CD pipelines for staging and production environments, and implementing automation best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Plan, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, driving DevOps practices across 3GPP and Non 3GPP Core applications, and implementing automation best practices.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in the Telecom IT /Software industry.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools, including hands-on experience with CICD deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, JFrog repo, etc.
  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish DevOps best practices and lead DevOps activities for multiple Core CNF in STG and Production environments.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, groovy, etc.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, knowledge or experience with the Robin Cloud platform is preferred.
  • Strong experience with cloud services and cloud deployment models, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in Kubernetes Networking and ensure secure deployment processes by understanding requirements.
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability for the Pipeline and Code.
  • Document and design various processes of pipeline dev and version control of code with respect to App release.
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks to manage system configuration and deployment tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications such as Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or CKAD and Certification for Jenkin are preferred.
