An exciting opportunity exists at Learnship for an Online Japanese Teacher. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging, effective and interactive real-time online lessons for our diverse range of learners. This role will also involve the creation of innovative learning material and resources, as well as involvement in curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering personalized, dynamic, and engaging online Japanese courses for a range of skill levels and learning goals.
- Development and delivery of tailored lesson plans that take into account learners' individual needs and learning style preferences.
- Maintaining student progress reports and tracking their performance and attendance using our Learning Management System.
- Providing learners with continual feedback and ways to improve their language proficiency.
- Contributing to curriculum development through the creation of new, engaging learning materials.
- Participating in professional development activities and staying updated with teaching methodologies and pedagogical developments in the field of language teaching.
Qualifications And Experience
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Languages/Linguistics, or related field. A master's degree is highly preferable.
- A certification in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language or any recognized language teaching certification.
- At least three years of experience in teaching Japanese to non-native speakers, with a preference for experience in online teaching.
- Excellent command of Japanese language, along with proficient knowledge of its grammar and vocabulary. Native level fluency is preferred.
- Experience with using Learning Management Systems and familiarity with online learning platforms and tools are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and engage learners in an online environment.
