Tektome is building the AI Copilot for architectural design, an intelligent platform that bridges architects, engineers, and AI.
As a spin-out from Incubit, one of Japan's first AI companies, we are redefining how technology supports the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.
Our mission is to create a shared "language" between design professionals and AI, transforming complex workflows into intuitive, efficient, and meaningful user experiences.
We're looking for a UX Designer who can turn on-site challenges into clear, actionable stories and design solutions that truly empower architectural teams.
Role OverviewAs a UX Designer at Tektome, you will lead the experience design for AI-driven workflows in the AEC domain.
You'll research how architects and engineers work today, envision what their workflows could look like with AI support, and turn those insights into structured UX stories, diagrams, and prototypes.
Your work will form the foundation of product design, helping teams across Product, Engineering, and AI Research align around user needs and real-world context.
This role is open only to candidates currently living in Japan.Key Responsibilities
Research and document workflows in architectural design, construction, and facility management.
Conduct interviews and workshops to identify user pain points, KPIs, and opportunities for AI integration.
Design ideal future workflows and user experiences (using tools such as Figma, BPMN, or Miro).
Create clear UX Story Sheets, before/after scenarios, personas, process maps, and benefit highlights.
Collaborate closely with PMs, architects, AI researchers, and engineers to drive user-centered design.
Produce supporting visual assets such as diagrams, vision boards, prompt templates, and demo data.
Contribute to external deliverables such as case studies, demo materials, or product presentations.
Required Qualifications
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, service design, or business process design.
Strong ability to visualize and document workflows and user journeys.
Proficiency with Figma, Miro, and Notion for creating structured design artifacts.
Experience conducting qualitative research (interviews, field observations, workshops).
Collaborative experience with engineers or PMs to define requirements and system behavior.
Ability to express complex ideas logically through both visuals and text.
Experience designing for enterprise or B2B products.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge or interest in the architecture, plant, or BIM (Building Information Modeling) domains.
Experience designing AI-driven or automation-based tools.
Understanding of prompt design, RAG pipelines, or AI assistant UX patterns.
