We are looking for a UI/UX Lead to drive end-to-end software functionality across multiple modules including media, radio, connectivity, HVAC, navigation, and HMI control. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure timely delivery, and act as the technical liaison between product management, UX/UI design, systems engineering, and software development teams.
Primary Responsibilities
UI Design:
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and corporate identity standards for consistent cross-platform brand expression.
- Create high-fidelity mockups, style guides, design systems, and interactive prototypes.
- Transform designs into functional UI components while applying color theory, typography, and layout principles.
UX Design
- Conduct user research, persona development, and usability testing to guide design decisions.
- Create wireframes, journey maps, and information architecture documents.
- Optimize workflow, interaction, and navigation structures to improve usability.
- Ensure compliance with UX guidelines, accessibility standards, and platform-specific design requirements (e.g., automotive HMI guidelines).
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and integrity.
- Support cross-functional feature development and integration.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of prototyping tools (Figma, InVision, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of design principles, UX research methodologies, and human-centered design.
- Experience with responsive design, cross-platform UI design, and component libraries.
- Knowledge of HMI, digital cockpit, infotainment systems, or connected car functionality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and respond to feedback.
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility.
Language Requirements
- Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 700+).
- Japanese proficiency – JLPT N3 or above.
