Job Title: Accounting Professional for Rakuten Mobile

Rakuten Group, a leading e-commerce and fintech company, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team. As a key member of the Finance and Accounting Strategy Department, you will be responsible for managing the accounting organization under the Corporate Accounting Group.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can provide exceptional financial reporting, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to the growth and development of our business.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in accounting in a business company, with experience in management and knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS and JGAAP. The ideal candidate will also possess qualifications such as CPA or Certified Tax Accountant.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work on various tasks, including financial statement preparation, audit compliance, and cross-company accounting operations. You will also have the chance to mentor and train members and improve organizational capacity.

The work environment is dynamic, with approximately 60 members in the Finance and Accounting Strategy Department and 10 members in the Corporate Accounting Group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial statements (standalone accounts, consolidated reporting), compliance with company law, audit compliance
  • CORRESPOND WITH ACCOUNTING TREATMENT UNDER IFRS, JGAAP AND TAX LAW
  • Planning and implementation of cross-company accounting operations
  • Establishment of internal allocation process and guidelines
  • M&As and Organization restructuring, etc.
  • Mentoring and training members and improving organizational capacity

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in accounting in a business company
  • Experience in management
  • Qualifications such as CPA, Certified Tax Accountant, Level 1 Japanese Bookkeeper, etc.

Salary: Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: Rakuten Crimson House, Tokyo, Japan.
