About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced
UX Engineer
to take ownership of
In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)
and
Human-Machine Interface (HMI)
design initiatives for next-generation automotive systems.

You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product teams to deliver intuitive and elegant digital experiences across vehicle platforms.

As an
IVI Functional Lead
, you'll have end-to-end responsibility for software functionality across multiple domains —
media, navigation, connectivity, HVAC, radio, and UI control
— ensuring seamless integration and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

UI Design

• Develop and maintain
  design guidelines
  ,
  style guides
  , and
  corporate identity standards
  ensuring consistent branding across platforms.
• Create
  high-fidelity mockups
  ,
  interactive prototypes
  , and
  component-based design systems
  .
• Apply
  color theory, typography, and layout principles
  effectively in automotive HMI environments.
• Translate design concepts into
  functional UI components
  ready for implementation.

UX Design

• Conduct
  user research, persona development
  , and
  usability testing
  to validate design decisions.
• Design
  wireframes, journey maps, and information architecture
  to optimize workflow and navigation.
• Ensure compliance with
  accessibility standards
  and
  UX guidelines
  (e.g., Material Design, Automotive HMI guidelines).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product managers, software developers, and UX designers — to ensure seamless design execution.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years
  of professional experience in
  UI/UX design
  or
  UX engineering
  .
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools:
  Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator
  , or equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of
  interaction design principles
  and
  human-centered design
  .
• Experience with
  responsive design
  ,
  cross-platform UI
  , and
  component libraries
  .
• Familiarity with
  HMI
  ,
  digital cockpit
  , or
  infotainment systems
  in automotive environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Language Requirements

• English:
  Business level (TOEIC 700+ preferred)
• Japanese:
  JLPT
  N3 or higher
  (N2 preferred)

• Annual Salary:
  Competitive (based on experience and skills)

  Once per year
• Commuting Allowance:
  Up to ¥20,000/month
