Position: Accounting Manager
Industry: Multinational Professional Service Firm
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee service delivery for assigned clients, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Act as the primary client contact, addressing inquiries promptly and building strong relationships.
- Prepare management accounts, draft financial statements, and coordinate annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with J-GAAP, and support disclosures under IFRS/US GAAP.
- Handle capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations.
- Monitor tax and FSA regulatory deadlines, ensuring timely filings.
- Collaborate with global teams and external service providers for seamless service delivery.
- Support transactions, including financing, acquisitions, and dispositions, ensuring compliance with SPC Law.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and participate in efficiency improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with foreign clients.
- Strong knowledge of J-GAAP; IFRS/US GAAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with Yardi Voyager and Yayoi is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and time-management skills.
- Experience in process improvement is a bonus.
