The Opportunity
As a Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts within your assigned territory. You will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with customers, and effectively positioning Allegro's innovative magnetic sensor and power IC solutions. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of customer needs to achieve sales targets and contribute to Allegro's continued success in the automotive, industrial, and consumer markets. You will be a key advocate for our customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to achieve and exceed sales quotas and strategic objectives for assigned accounts.
- Identify, qualify, and close new design wins and revenue opportunities for Allegro's product portfolio, including magnetic sensors (current, position, TMR), motor drivers, and power management ICs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships at all levels, from engineering to executive management.
- Understand customer roadmaps, market trends, and competitive landscape to proactively position Allegro's solutions.
- Collaborate with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and product marketing teams to develop and present compelling technical and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability and secure long-term business.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and regular reporting on sales activities and account status.
- Identify and penetrate new accounts or market segments within the assigned territory.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate internal resources (FAE, product, operations) to address customer needs, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of products and support.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform Allegro's product development and marketing strategies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Allegro's product offerings, competitive advantages, and value proposition.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and customer applications in target segments like automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical or business field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive sales experience in the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated experience managing key accounts and developing strong customer relationships.
- Familiarity with magnetic sensors, power management ICs, motor control, or similar analog/mixed-signal semiconductor products.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts and product features to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with customer engineers and collaborating with internal FAEs.
- English communication skill (ability to host conference calls with US engineers)
