We are excited to announce an opportunity for a talented Recruiting Leader (North Asia), specifically targeting Japanese-speaking professionals, to join our dynamic team.
As the Recruiting Leader for North Asia, you will play a crucial role in driving Substance's growth within the North Asian market, particularly focusing on Japan. Your expertise in recruitment, coupled with your understanding of the local market landscape, will be essential in developing effective sourcing strategies and building relationships with clients and candidates alike.
Your role will involve leading recruitment efforts, managing a team of recruiters, and collaborating closely with our leadership team to achieve strategic goals in talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters to achieve high performance in sourcing and placing candidates within the North Asia region.
- Market Development: Identify and capitalize on recruitment opportunities in Japan and other North Asian markets, establishing Substance as a leading recruitment partner in the region.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their hiring needs and providing exceptional recruitment solutions tailored to their business.
- Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent, including passive candidates, from the local market.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, maintaining transparent communication and follow-up.
- Data Analysis: Analyze recruitment metrics and KPIs to evaluate effectiveness, optimize processes, and report on recruitment progress to leadership.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, candidate expectations, and competitive landscapes in the North Asian recruitment market.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on leadership roles in the North Asia region, specifically in Japan
- Demonstrated success in high-volume talent acquisition and effective team management
- Skills:
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Proficient in developing recruitment strategies and metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Exceptional networking abilities and relationship management skills with clients and candidates
- Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the Japanese recruitment landscape, including cultural nuances and hiring practices
- Familiarity with tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment CRM software
- Attributes:
- Dynamic and proactive with a results-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
