Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Steering:
Develop and implement country-level air freight pricing strategies aligned with global guidelines and local market conditions.
Define and manage pricing strategies for spot quotes and tenders, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
Lead export team operations, setting clear goals and monitoring performance to achieve business objectives.


Export Operations & Team Leadership:
Supervise and coach the export team, ensuring efficient daily operations and high service standards.
Oversee export shipment processing, including booking, documentation, and coordination with carriers and partners.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs and security requirements.


Airline & Partner Negotiation:

Negotiate rates and build strong relationships with airlines, trucking companies, and warehouse providers to secure competitive rates and stable capacity.

Analyze market trends and develop negotiation strategies for peak seasons and cost optimization.


Customer Service & Tender Management:
Act as the main contact for key export customers, resolving issues and maintaining high satisfaction.
Evaluate tender opportunities for profitability and strategic fit, set rates, and collaborate with Sales to configure service offerings.
Analyze hit rates for spot quotes and tenders, and propose improvement measures.


Process Improvement & System Enhancement:
Identify and drive process improvements, including digitalization and automation in pricing and export workflows.
Support the implementation and enhancement of pricing tools, tender management systems, and export management platforms.


Data Quality Management & Controlling:
Ensure accuracy and timely input of buying/selling rates, margins, and export documentation.
Monitor daily dashboards and KPIs for pricing and export operations, validating cost and revenue calculations.
Confirm adherence to global/regional guidelines and proper application of surcharges and charges.


Continuous Improvement:
Identify discrepancies and initiate corrective actions to maintain data quality and operational excellence.
Support team development and foster a culture of proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Educational Background / Work Experience
Work experience in International Logistics Provider
5 years of experience in in Air Freight pricing, procurement, export operations, or team leadership roles
International working experience is a plus

Language Skills
Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken)
Strong English proficiency (written and spoken) for global communication
Additional language skills are an advantage

Computer Literacy
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Familiarity with pricing tools, tender management systems, and rate management platforms

Decision Making Authority
Authorized to make pricing and margin decisions within delegated limits and company guidelines, as defined by the direct line manager and Hellmann's authority framework
