About the Role
We are seeking an
Embedded Software Architect
to lead the design and development of complex embedded systems. This is a senior technical leadership position where you will define system architecture, guide development teams, and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders and offshore teams, providing technical direction and mentoring engineers.
- Salary: ¥8M – ¥12M per year
- Visa Requirement: Must currently reside in Japan with valid work authorization
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software architecture for advanced systems.
- Lead development activities including implementation, unit testing, verification, and validation.
- Collaborate with clients and offshore teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Act as a role model for technical excellence and best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 15+ years of embedded software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C.
- Hands-on experience with OS/RTOS/QNX on MCU/SoC platforms.
- Expertise in system architecture design and validation.
- Experience with sensor and motor control software development.
- Deep understanding of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB).
- Knowledge of OS concepts, multithreading, IPC, scheduling, and memory management.
- Basic hardware knowledge (board bring-up, diagnostics) and debugging tools (JTAG, SWD).
- Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2+) and English.
Nice to Have
- Experience in embedded GUI development.
- Familiarity with medical device regulatory standards (IEC 62304, IEC 60601, ISO
- 5+ years of embedded software development in the medical domain.
