This role is:
The Sr. Solution Consultant plays a key role in augmenting sales opportunities through understanding and addressing customer's key challenges, and leveraging ACI solutions and technology. This role ensures that our customers and prospects maximize their long term relationship with ACI, and is critical in conveying the needs and opportunities in the marketplace to the Market Product Managers as we develop our solution product strategies and roadmaps.
Working with the Market Product Managers and Product Marketing, the Sr. Solution Consultant will help define the key value propositions for the targeted market segments. This role will work closely with the sales organization and third party partners, and apply the market segment value propositions in the development of account plans, value propositions, and long term solution adoption strategies for ACI's customers and prospects. The role requires in-depth industry business insight, an understanding of the strategic and long term approach ACI's customers should execute when using our solutions, a strong grasp of how ACI's solutions can add real value for our customers, and an ability to work directly with new customers.
A typical day at ACI for a Senior Solution Consultant is:
- Work closely with Sales and Mission Team to provide the on ground presales support and supporting the sales pipeline generations.
- As the primary interface and liaison to customer/prospects on understanding business requirements, conducts a thorough needs analysis to define functional requirements and business issues.
- Mapping the customer requirements with ACI solution service offering.
- Identify and develop the solution value propositions with the aim to differentiate ACI solutions from the competition, and to beat the competitions.
- To present appropriate solutions and product roadmap to customers/prospects during the RFI and RFP stage.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of all ACI product plans and roadmaps and establish regular communication and partnership with Product Management in order to communicate market driven requirements, trends and opportunities and new customer needs.
- Leverage industry expertise and knowledge to identify trends and market direction to support sales efforts; able to support cross-product sales and consultancy efforts and implementation for ACI.
- Provide sales-orientated product demonstrations.
- Keep current with new trends, products, and technologies in the payments industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to ACI code of ethics and global information security.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales/solutions consulting in relevant payment solutions
- Minimum 8 years of professional consulting background for enterprise software solution
- In-depth knowledge of industry products, and subject matter expect for in specific market segment
- Proven pre-sales experience in card acquiring or card issuing solutions or remittance solutions
- Clear understanding of enterprise software implementation and technical services, sales, customer management and support services requirements.
- Strong knowledge of payment industry products, solutions and processor business models.
- Ability to support cross-product sales and consultancy efforts and implementations for company
- Must be customer focused, demonstrated attention to detail and ability to exercise excellent judgment. Ability to speak Japanese and English
