We are looking for world-class development managers to lead our mobile platform for booking area team and bring it to where it belongs: the number one spot.
The right candidate should be extremely hands-on, technically excellent and well versed on solid engineering principles as well as exhibit strong leadership and people development skills.
The mobile platform for booking area team is one of Agoda's core teams, involved in all the new feature development involving native mobile capabilities on the screens like manage my booking, booking form, payment form, and wallet.
As the team's development manager, you will be responsible of ensuring the team maintains great execution and taking it to the next level, drive design decisions, define and implement a strategy to adopt the latest technologies, and last but not least to lead and facilitate each engineer's professional growth.
Responsibilities:
It's vital to have a love of engineering and a passion for building things.
As a development manager, you will be responsible for working together with product managers, shape and execute project, lead technical decisions, guide and review the development team's work, and at times get more hands-on.
A big part of this role will be to work closely with our central mobile platform team, ensuring your team adopts the latest platform features they develop.
You will be responsible for creating and driving a roadmap for continuous code cleanup and defining a robust testing strategy to ensure the highest quality of delivery.
This position requires you to expertly balance two key functions:acting as the technical product manager for the team to define 'what' and 'why', and as the project manager for feature development across this large, critical area to drive 'how' and 'when'.
We strongly believe in a full-stack approach in engineering teams, as such you'll not only have a direct impact on the design of native client-side applications (iOS and Android), but you will also be able to drive further adoption of cross-platform technologies, and gain exposure to.
You will also play a crucial role in coordinating with other stakeholders, as well as reporting to senior leadership, and help make strategic decisions which will take the company to the next level.
As a technology company, we keep up with the latest ideas and innovations and make key decisions on when to adopt, when to follow and when to innovate.

What you'll Need to Succeed:
Extremely proficient in either Swift or Kotlin languages
Experienced with, or interested in learning cross-platform technologies and frameworks such as Kotlin Multiplaform, React Native, Flutter, NativeScript, Ionic
Knowledge of other languages is a plus (e.g. Objective-C, Java, C#, Scala)
Extremely proficient in modern coding practices (dependency injection, reactive programming, MVVM, design patterns)
Passionate about technology and mobile apps
Experience working in a successful agile development team
Able to take full responsibility for the product - from early planning stages to deployment and maintenance.
