We are seeking a capable and independent individual to join our multi-disciplinary team in Tokyo office as part of the Building Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for façade design/engineering/consulting practice of projects, working with clients and project stakeholders to assist in designing and engineering facades for aesthetic appeal, functional requirements, energy efficiency and sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: first-hand experience within a consulting business environment (minimum 3 years in Japan) for at least one or more aspects of façade design, façade engineering experience is not mandatory but a proactive approach to learning is essential. First-hand experience delivering building projects from start to finish, including exposure to finish detailing, fabrication, and construction, is highly beneficial. Proficiency in structural and/or environmental analysis software, and competency in 2D (Autocad) and/or 3D (Rhino/Grasshopper) modelling software are highly beneficial. Proficiency in Japanese is essential, in English highly beneficial.

Responsibilities include meeting with clients and project stakeholders, gaining foundational knowledge in façade engineering, working on high profile projects, collaborating with other Teams/Disciplines such as Structures, MEP and Lighting. The successful candidate will also have enthusiastic problem-solving skills, creativity, and a detail-focussed approach, be willing to take on new challenges and proactively learn new things within a multi-facetted discipline, adapting to industry developments.

Salary: ¥5,500,000 - ¥7,000,000 per annum, based on ability and experience.
