ENI Foundation is the governance and ecosystem steward of ENI Blockchain, an enterprise-grade, modular, Layer-1 blockchain protocol designed for the next generation of Web3 and RWA infrastructure.
ENI's dual-token model ($ENI and $EGT) powers a rapidly growing ecosystem of AppChains, DAOs, and institutional blockchain applications, bridging the worlds of TradFi, DeFi, and RWA tokenization.

The Global Compliance Officer (GCO) will lead the design and implementation of ENI Foundation's global regulatory compliance framework, ensuring that all blockchain-related activities, token issuances, fund operations, and ecosystem collaborations comply with applicable laws and best practices.
This role requires a candidate who can operate confidently across multiple regulatory regimes — including Cayman Islands (VASP Act), BVI (VASP Act), Hong Kong (SFC Type 4/9 VA), European Union (MiCA), and Japan's FSA digital asset framework — and harmonize them into a consistent global compliance architecture.
The GCO will also act as a strategic advisor to the Foundation's leadership, liaising with external counsel, regulators, and institutional partners to manage risk and enable compliant innovation.
- Compliance Governance
Serve as the AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO) and MLRO for the Foundation where required.
Maintain policies and procedures for KYC, CFT, sanctions screening, and risk assessment consistent with FATF recommendations and CIMA / SFC / MiCA standards.
Establish global compliance reporting workflows with regional members and subsidiaries.- Regulatory Management
Coordinate with legal counsel in Cayman, BVI, HK, UK, EU, and Japan to ensure full compliance in ongoing and future projects (e.g., token issuance, staking rewards, DAO treasury operations).
Lead registration or licensing processes (e.g., CIMA VASP registration, MiCA compliance filings, SFC VA uplift).Prepare responses to regulator queries and manage ongoing compliance reporting obligations.
- Transaction & Token Oversight
Validate counterparties (e.g., exchanges, fund administrators, underwriters) through due diligence and compliance screening.
Supervise smart-contract audits and ensure they comply with on-chain compliance standards (blacklist/whitelist, jurisdictional filters, etc.).
- Training & Ecosystem Compliance
Review and approve compliance policies for ecosystem partners (e.g., RWA projects, AppChains, DAO participants). Coordinate with Sanova Capital to align TradFi fund management standards with ENI on-chain RWA framework.
- Strategic Advisory
Represent ENI Foundation in compliance-related working groups or public-private forums.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution.
Certified AML/Compliance qualification preferred (e.g., CAMS, ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent)
Experience
Minimum 7+ years in financial regulation, compliance, or legal counsel roles — ideally with exposure to digital assets, blockchain, or fintech.
Prior experience with multi-jurisdiction compliance frameworks (Cayman, BVI, EU MiCA, HK SFC, or Japan FSA).Strong knowledge of VASP frameworks, KYC/AML/CFT, and digital asset custody regulation.
Experience liaising with regulators, drafting compliance manuals, and leading internal audits.
Previous experience in a foundation or protocol environment (e.g., Solana, Avalanche, Ethereum Foundation) is highly desirable.
Skills
Deep understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and token economics.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Japanese or Mandarin a plus).
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work across legal, technical, and operational teams.
High attention to detail, integrity, and risk-based judgment.
