Your new role
We are seeking a Network Expert with 5-8 years of experience and bilingual proficiency in Japanese & English to support our client, a leading French Bank in Tokyo. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure in a mission-critical banking environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance enterprise network solutions (LAN, WAN, Data Center).
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance to ensure availability and resilience.
- Communicate effectively in both Japanese and English with stakeholders, vendors, and global IT teams.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports in Japanese and English.
What you'll need to succeed
- Holders of vendor certifications such as CCNA and/or CCNP are preferable; CCIE is a strong plus.
- 5-8 years of proven experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Bilingual: Japanese (business level) & English (business level) - Mandatory.
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs.
- Experience supporting mission-critical / high-availability systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SDN / SD-WAN technologies.
- Exposure to automation (Python, Ansible).
- Previous experience in financial services or banking IT environments.
