Overview:


Tekoma Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Manager to join our team in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in the areas of solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), combined with the ability to manage construction projects effectively. The role requires a skilled professional with a civil license who can lead project teams to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet all requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including design, construction, and project management, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports to track progress and performance against goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.
  • Lead site meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
  • Review and approve project plans, specifications, and engineering documents.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Valid civil engineering license in Japan.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and a maximum of 5 years in civil engineering, with a focus on solar energy and BESS projects.
  • Proven experience in construction project management and oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English is preferred.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with renewable energy projects, specifically in solar and energy storage systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment is an advantage.
