The Role and What You'll Do:
Overseeing the entire social media operations and content creation for multiple clients, including:
Expertise in the key social platforms for international sports rights holders in Japan
Management of social media platforms, including Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, and LINE
Producing a content plan for always-on content on a weekly/monthly basis, with output highly adapted to each platform
Sharing briefs with the Mailman Content House to execute on the art and video content ideas
Developing creative campaigns to drive growth and engagement, with both online and offline components
Proactively ideate new concepts based on what's trending in the Japanese market
Be on the pulse of Japan's Gen Z, their pop culture and what's trending, especially finding trends on TikTok, X and more.
Establish a network of local freelancers in Japan to supportCopywriting:
managing the daily output across social/website accounts
Video editors:
experts in producing short-form vertical content (TikTok)
Video producers:
experts in producing on-site content in Japan
Designers:
experts in producing art-based designs for social
Creators:
experts in their respective field within football and other cultural verticals (fashion, music, gaming, art and more)
Editorial management of the client's websites
Producing insightful weekly and monthly reports, with a data mindset to identify patterns, uncover new learnings and propose suggestions
Mitigating operational issues and risks
Supporting paid media operations
Researching the latest trends and best practices in sports, entertainment, and consumer behavior
Support for Player or Team Visits to Japan
Providing comprehensive support for any team or player visits, including:
Planning logistics
Arranging workshops or cultural experiences for players
Creating filming plans
Developing and executing content plans
Communication & Relationship Management
Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, including:
Providing daily support to freelancers to ensure they meet their scope of work requirements
Reporting to account managers based in Singapore
Understand and deliver on client objectives/KPIs across social, digital and commercial
Communicating with clients to ensure satisfaction and maintain their standards, through local expertise and reactive messaging
Maintaining strong relationships with the client's local offices/ representatives
Building and nurturing relationships with KOLs
Establishing positive relationships with platform companies for mutual benefit
Administrative Task Management
Organising administrative operations, including:
Contract signing and renewal (e.g., Consultancy Agreement)
Processing invoices
Storing and organising important files, such as CVs
You Have These:
Business-level English proficiency:
Comfortable with daily work-related communication in English as a non-native speaker.
Approximately 3 years of professional work experience:
Able to engage in effective business communication and take initiative toward goals and objectives with a proactive mindset.
Residing within commuting distance to the Tokyo office.
Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, or respond to urgent matters as needed.
